At Strong Foundation Films, we are committed to producing films that not only entertain but honor God. Our desire is to help our audience to have an encounter with Christ. We believe that God's Word has the power to change hearts and minds, and we strive to tell stories that make a difference.
About Us
Founded in 2011, Strong Foundation Films is a Christian film company devoted to making movies that bring a clear understanding of the Gospel to its audiences. The company was created through prayer and its movies and stories appeal to people of all faiths or of none. They deliver messages of hope and encouragement while depicting real life situations. The intention of Strong Foundation Films is to make movies that inspire people to find and maintain a relationship with God. We believe that our stories are "parables on films". Each film has a message that helps people to draw closer to Christ.
Producer/ Pastor Sun East
Raised in South Korea until she was 19, Pastor Sun East came to know God when she was 25. She met Him through a dream filled with promises that she could not yet understand, but her faith in what He had revealed to her in the dream led her to the United States.
Sun East has been a Pastor since 1990. She was inspired by the teaching of Dr. Yonggi Cho and was privileged to raise up the church that she established throughout the world, bringing the healing power of God to the poor and indigent. Many know her from her frequent appearances on television and radio, as well through her missions worldwide.
Since 2005, Pastor Sun has authored over 300 worship songs and over 20 books based on teachings from the Bible. In 2001, the Lord impressed on her heart to create faith-based films that would help people draw closer to the Lord. However, it was not until 2007 after writing her novel based on the book of Hosea, that the Lord revealed to her that her novel would become a movie. This was the starting point of faith-based films as a ministry for Pastor Sun.
Director Josiah David Warren
Josiah Warren is the son of Pastor Sun East, the founder of Strong Foundation Films. He is the director and he uses his talents to bring to life Christ-centered movies that teach the value and power of living one’s life for God. Since June 2011, he has written music scores, directed, and acted in 15 faith based feature films
